Going up north again. This time not so far up, but to snow we hope. By train tomorrow.

Wonder how it would be to live in something like this, or this.

Have you seen the film, The Story of the Weeping Camel? It's set in Mongolia and really made me want to go and live in a yurt in the middle Mongolian desert. It's such a great film.

Well, the last time I did it I was 7 months pregnant. Very uncomfortable. For the most part, it's cozy. But there are also food smells, animal parts hanging around, stuff like that. I love the image I have of a little girl taking her book from a plastic bag stuffed into one of the wooden frame beams.
Here's the story of pregnant in a yurt: http://travelshifts.blogspot.com/2008/02/longwinded-tale-of-two-quilts.html :-)

Brita, saw the trailer on youtube, looks like something I would like. Thanks for the tip.

Pia, menar du månne den ovan nämda, The Story of the Weeping Camel?

Gini, a jurta community sounds like an appealing idea. Thank the baby for given you good simultaneous capacity ;)

MamaShift, I´m coming over to your place to check out your jurta experience...
