Looking for a summer house. House 1. Bjärsjölagård/skåne.
A postitive thing with this house is that one could run a small gallery or something in the part
facing the street (two entrances). Negative part is that the house is very run down, far away from
water and for us, pretty high price.
Don't forget about the giveaway.

and for gallery visitors you could play old records in the old megaphone in the other pictures!
I wish you luck in finding the perfect home Elisabeth! Your dreams ARE coming true!

That is a link to a post I had a while ago-to show you the radiator-in a pub in London-almost the same as the one in this house!
The house looks good. I suppose all houses have something good and something bad going for them-it is a hard decision!
elisabeth, i'm so happy that you're seriously looking for a summer place now! can't wait to see what other things you find, but the red on the outside of this house is lovely.
on the plus side: Close to us!
I like to see all the houses...we were looking for houses in skane (around hoor) a couple of years ago! so i'm curious all the time...what will you buy os a summer-house! Love to give you a visit once you have settled down with probably your shop...last year we followed lots of signs...LOPPIS!
Oh I adore it!! It's unreal Elisabeth. I love that it's old and worn. It has real character! It maybe just needs to be "loved up" a little by you! Px
P.S. That old pink contact is fantastic! Px
I've always thought that looking for a house has some good parts: you can imagine yourself in different places, imagine what you would do to improve it, etc.
I wish you luck, Elisabeth!
Thanks for good luck whishes.
Sammy Rose, sounds like a good plus ;)
Simone, the Loppis signs drag me like magnets, always have. How great that would be - to be able to receive visits in my own summerhouse/shop.
oh, it must be difficult to make a decision like that... but you always seem to find the most beautiful summer houses.
i'm sure the right summer house will find YOU eventually! :)
Lovely house and it really looks solid structurally (not needing major reno)which might be a better option than buying cheaper property but going through expensive renovations. The water issue is that regret about you moving away from sea/river/lake? I did that moved to big city on mainland away from my island home. Its not so bad but is a real difference in lifestyle.
millyinpink, we're looking for a summer house so we're not moving really. Would be so nice to have access to water for the children to swim in. Thats the best part of summer, in their oppinion. This house is really nice but it do need major reno, in parts of it.
Shame that it's not quite right. The detailing on that heater is incredible - I've never seen that before!
xx
Oh what a wonderful thing to spend time doing. It's trying to weigh the good things against the bad in each one, really, isn't it? Well, have fun doing it!
Good luck in your hunt!
I fell in love with the old pattern on the radiator! I've never seen something like this!
