youwould LOVE my neighbor's teepee/porch in the trees. shes a nice old hippy! i bet she'd let me take some pictures this summer. she calls it the "happy hollow".
Oh, lovely! When I was growing up some of our good friends lived in a geodesic dome house that had a turret and was completely wooden. It was so much fun to play hide and seek in. I genuinely thought that it was built by hobbits when I was really young. Thanks for sharing the book, I'd like to get my hands on one too. :)
Ohh, I love "handmade" houses...mu husband has very nice (but sometimes unrealizable) ideas about someday building our own house with parts of it underground and parts incorporated around a tree..
i think one of the house you showed is in gotland. the owner is v cool and u can go and have a look inside. have u seen the hermit houses in fabriken furillen gotland? my idea of paradise. wonderful magic place.......

thanks for sharing this. How totally fab! I grew up with one of these domes at the end of my garden as my dad dedicated his life;s work to traditional and unusual houses and architecture. Must get the book!
I own two copies of that very book! Shamefully, the first one I 'permanently borrowed' *ahem* from my high school library because I was sure no one could appreciate it more than me ;)It's one of my all time favorite books! No matter how many times I've looked through it I always see something new.
