Needlework and sewing also makes me worried about myself. I wish it meant to be more feminine, instead I feel like I don't have much else left than embroidery.
hehe, sometimes i *feel* like i'm forty when i'm only seventeen. i get too stressed. i say, no more of it. :) when i see that cloud by your sofa, i always think "ihana!", which is finnish for "wonderful!", but with so much more loveliness. :)
I'm 41 and I feel happier than I was in my 20s! Great link, love that fabric and the embroidery book... let it put it this way: you see things in a more contemplative way !)
i adore the combination of that curved sofa and the cloud on the wall. every post with a picture of it makes me happy (every post with or without it, actually).
I will be 49 in April this year and I have to tell you my forties were definitiely the best years of my life so far... I am looking forward to the next decade. I am a bit unsure about the sixties... but I am always surprised at the wonders of life so we will see... So, happy rounding up into the fories I say! Annamaria :)
I'm 40 in March and really can't wait, not that I'm wishing my life away of course! I feel so much more content than in my twenties and sewing and crafting has been the most amazing discovery of my late thirties. Now I'm off to cook dinner for my 3 year old son! Thank you for the inspiration Elisabeth. Lisa XXX
elisabeth dear , port and embroidery books (me too !) you are going to enjoy it.....absolutely , it has been the making of me , I have finally found a way to feel me (most of the time )...um it was 6 years ago a few days back that I reached it
:-) Ja det där slår mig varje dag. Jag kommer att bli en alldeles utmärkt pensionär. Jag älskar min sekatör alldeles oproportioneligt också. Ser mysigt ut!
So funny that you wrote "I am becoming more and more 40." I have been 40 for a whopping 12 days now, and am wondering daily what exactly that means. . . do think I'm already feeling more adventurous, so that's a start. . .

That fabric is perfect! Perfect for everything! & if that's 40, then bring it on! Sounds heavenly! x
Well, ain't nothing wrong with that! I'm not 40, but if that's what 40's about, then by all means, let's all be 40!!! :)
I´m not 40 yet either but will be this summer. I think I´m going to enjoy it :)
Good grief. I'm 25 and that sounds like a perfect way to pass my time...
in that case, 40 sounds wonderful!
Your couch is my dreamy couch !!!!!!!! I love it !

Beautiful books Elisabeth!

Hey, that port wine, good idea!
Oh, just wait til you hit your 50's ;-)!
Blessings,

P.S. Love your fluffy cloud!
But you're rockin' it, so it's OK. And you're awake. That's got to be good. It's the test for a senior's card, so I hear.
Ha ha - me too!! I just turned 40 and I'm really becoming it - I keep surprising myself with my thoughts and some of my actions.
I'm a year into 40, and that sounds just about right. (Even when I was young, I loved the old-fashioned.) Pass the port, I say!
That fabric is lovely. I've been wanting to get something from them for a while now...

It's like port wine the older, the better;)
Jag önskar att jag hade ett moln på min vägg...
Hihi. Så søt du er! Den sofaen din er helt FANTASTISK!
Long live the quarantine! It's like good wine. Very good wine...

I think I will keep this imagery in my mind as I near 40. Couch, book perusing, port...sounds just about perfect.
You make me unafraid to age. I love your blog, by the way. :)

Well... it looks nice to 40. nice and cozy!
That sounds absolutely perfect to me! I love the look of that book, too.
port wine & reading sound like a perfect combination to me - but i am in my 40s now too :)

I'll join you with my sherry and japanese craft book that I'm currently enjoying. 40 is lovely. Would you like a biscuit too?
i just turned 41 and it keeps getting better! love those cozy stripey slippers...
dear elisabeth, i'm not sure about the 50's and 60's, but 30's and 40's are definately the best decades in the life of a creative, emancipated woman!
