About 5 years old, when she wrote this.

"I´M IN LOVE WITH YOU BUT I DON´T KNOW IF YOU ARE IN LOVE WITH ME. WHEN I LOOK AT YOU I FEEL WARM INSIDE. I DO LOVE YOU, AND I HOPE YOU LOVE ME."

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I'm impressed that a five year old writes this well and expresses her feelings so sweetly :)

Kommer ihåg själv när man skrev sådana lappar som man inte vågade ge till killen man var hemligt kär i. Men så fint formulerat tror jag inte jag fick till det då ;-)
Så gulligt!/ Karin

That is so great! I wish I had written down more of the sweet things my kids said. One of my favorites from my daughter is:
"Today I saw a flower that was so beautiful it bent my heart"
Little poets!

I understand that feeling completely. I wish I was as in touch with my feelings as I was when I was five..

She's 12 or 13 now, yes? I don't want 5 to be so far away yet.

It's interesting how unsure she is; she definitely loved you very much. And, yes, to write so well already was amazing!

mieke willems, it was for a boy. And yes, she gave it to him. I don´t think her feelings was returned though :(

barbjensen, "bent my heart", how sweet.

MamaShift, 11. The letter was for a boy. I remeber feeling proud over her braveness, even if she was unsure.

Nämen gud så sött!! man önskar ju man sparat alla kärlekslappar ifrån skolan.

Kul att du kikade in hos mig så jag kunde titta tillbaks.
Vilkan underbara kort du tar, helt otroliga.

How nice! Although I am trying to imagine what it will be like when my kid (now 2) expresses feelings towards someone else than mummy, daddy etc. Was she really five? It starts early, I am perplexed. But maybe I am just possessive.

5 years old and able to write perfect swedish, including correct spelling of a word like 'ljus'? i think n-o-t. just silly pretending that a 5 year old would write something like that. more likely mummys doing. yes, small children can express feelings (and sometimes very well indeed) but not using those type of words and in that way.

...I adore this post - it is so perfect.

From the mouths of babes, egh? Not so much changes when we grow older...I share her sentiment ;)

Interesting how I thought it was to you. I was making up psychological stories about why she would be so unsure (not judging stories, just interesting ones).

The girl's going to be a poet someday! It's a girl, right? Typically girl stuff, this one. I share her feelings too as a child.

And I love the butterfly!
