Sad Cowboy
A friend reminded me of this photo. It was a couple of years ago, I had just bought Otto that hat. He was so happy and wanted me to take a picture of him, full dressed as a cowboy. I was delighted (even if I disliked the gun). I was just going to take the photo when I saw something in his nose and wanted to wipe it. Tired and hungry as the cowboy was, he became angry and sad! Me? I took the picture.

I think we resolved the gun issue, and now guns are ok occasional role-play in our house. I think...

Men "lilla gubben" så sööt du är! Fint foto trots tårar
...this photo says so much about being a mother to me. i have learnt to love every angle of my children whether sad or happy, mad or glad and good or bad. i have snapped a few of these moments too, they are just as important as the cheesy grin ones.
once i woke to find my 2 year old daughter had used a marker pen from face to feet to draw thick lines on her body transforming herself into a tiger. i had to take a photo of her as i was both mad and laughing at the same time, it did take days of bathing to get rid of the stripes.
Thank you so much for your comment :)
Makeanddo, would love to see that pic of your striped tiger.
This is brilliant - such a fabulous image, caught at the perfect moment.
Awww! Such a sweet photo! Feel like giving him a big hug!
I just discovered your blog via cup of jo and i'm glad I did.
I really like the spontaneity of this picture and might want to use it on my blog if you don't mind?
(I'm writting a blog on Kids fashion in Europe -http://3bing.blogspot.com, and by the way, where are you from?).
Many thanks again.
Sophie, it´s ok. to blog it, I´m glad you like it.
Sweden is my country.
i just watched a documentary on photography and they spoke about a photographer named Sally Mann, american i think, over the period of her 3 children's lives she photographed them, you should have a look at her stuff, her collection 'immediate family' especially.... this photo in really beautiful, i think the sad/normally un-captured moments can almost be the most interesting....your blog is a lovely inspiration
pollyhaw, I sure agree with you about sad/normally un-captured moments. Sally Man photos are stunning, she´s a big favorite photographer of mine.
