It was late, and the mosquitos was pretty nasty. I´m not going to, I told him. But he wanted anyway, one last swim before bedtime. It must have been freezing. Late summer, north of Sweden. He was shivering and his lips was blue, but he was smiling when he went to sleep. Just lovely.

I remember those swims as a kid, when the water was so cold it made breathing hard. This photo is so beautiful!

I remember when I was young - swimming in icy swedish waters and then being scoped up my my dad in a towel and them my mum came and shook me and dried my hair with the towel which leaves you looking like an electrocuted poodle. Ah, the memories.

So you have swedish roots Annalisa, your name sure sounds swedish. The evening swim place was not so far up as Skellefteå. It was in Årsunda, (Gästrikland). The south of norrland :)
