A gingerbread house there is.

Burned cakes and messy messy kitchen. Just as it should be.
It´s a Moomin gingerbread house, here´s another not so messy one.

Find instructions how to make the house there as well.

He´s been sick all week end. Probably a side effect of the swine flue vaccine he got a couple of days ago.
Fever and no energy. Today he´s in a better mood. First sunday in advent and our christmas decoration has
started. Next on the agenda - a gingerbread house.

Three hours after lunch time it´s dark like the night, and I just want to go to bed.
Sweden feels quite depressing this time of year.

Besides being availble in my shop you can find my print at Göteborgs Konstmuseum, at Mieke Willems shop,
Kidults shop in Barcelona, The Shiny Squirrel and soon at Little Paper Planes.

Blogging on location.

I haven´t been generous at all in showing my freelance work. But today I actually took some photos.
on the set. Can´t show you any closer or better photos than this, but the theme is kids and table settings.
My role today is to take care of the styling part.

What I can show you is another job, a commission for Kappahl last year. This time I photographed too.
Probably the most fun commission I´ve had. A lot of kids, hand picked items and very free.

I´m biking around town like a maniac, trying to find props for a photo shoot tomorrow.
How happy I was when I run in to these two sitting on the bench almost exact like this
(but this was last year), and offer me help. Mothers little helper.

A short good morning before I hit the road.

I love to hang around in my friends Kasper and Ulrika´s studio Little Red Stuga -
always full of creativity and colors. And Kasper has such an expressive way to sketch
(or maybe his daughter).

They makes awesome products too, playful and innovative.

It´s certainly is autumn/winter. But that doesn´t prevent me from dreaming of the forever wished-for
summer house. So I´m still browsing the house sites. I was quite surprised to see that this beautiful
mission church/summer house dream
still is out there, for sale.

It was the first (and still the only) house that we actually looked at and visit in "real life". Maybe some of you
remember the adventure we had in mars. Read about it here and a couple of more photos here.

Maybe in next life.

Camilla, my dear studio friend had vernissage at Galleri 1 here in Gothenburg today. Success of course.

Shrimp Shop opens today.

Even if it´s kind of rejudiced, I love this 50´s wallpaper. Unfortunatley way to expensive for me.
See it here too, at the eminent blog, Femtiotalsjakten (swedish blog about 50´s items).

Fine Little Day / Le Train Fantome

Some of my favorite photos from Fanja´s and mine new collaboration. Just like the last time, it was
pure joy to play with the dolls. There´s a story to go with it, read it at Fanjas blog. You can buy
the two lower photos + one more at the Le Train Fantome shop.

Thank you Fanja, it was fun :)

Go and see Camilla vernissage at Galleri 1 if you have possibility tomorrow.

Oh no. "Someone" accidental climb on her handmade horse arena. She´s not going to be happy when coming home.
It doesn´t look this sweet anymore :(

Simple Camera RAW processing.

Many of you asked me if/how I process my photos. First, I shoot in RAW. Then I usally don´t do so much more than
correct the color and the white balance in the photos by using the RAW tool in Photoshop. Here, a simple and
short guide how I do.

1. I open the photo in the RAW editor/ Photoshop. This photo has an yellow cast.

2 A. I adjust the color and correcting the white balance by changing "Temperature" and "Tint". (The goal is to
set the photo color similar to how the eye registered the color when shooting the photo.)

B. Adjusting the white in the photo to white by putting the mouse pointer at a known white surface (or a neutral grey
surface if you don´t have white in the photo) and check the RGB channels, the values should lie on the same percentages.
You affect the values it by changing Temperature and Tint.

C. I´ve also compensate the highlights in the photo by dragging the "Recovery" button.

A proper monitor calibration helps of course.

Advantages with shooting in RAW are for example:
- RAW tends to capture a richer tone of colours than Jpgs.
- You have more controls for exposure, details and colours with RAW.

What is Raw.
My camera.

BUT, I´m don´t think you must color correct photos in general. Many photos are more charming just as they are,
with color casts or not. Sometimes I do more than color correct too, have to show you that another time.
