Inside and outside. My friends place is such an idyll.

One of the kids friends has such a cool elevator, dressed with Sigvard Bernadottes "Virr varr", in brown (!). See Virr varr in a close up here. On our way home we met this cat who just layed there and posed for us for at least five minutes.

I like this colorful sculpture who stands at a playground in Boulognerskogen in Gävle/Sweden. Sorry that I can´t tell you who the artist is (does anybody know?). The colorful packaging is from my collectings.

I got the new Grafik today. It´s a good looking magazine even if the contents feels a bit inaccessible sometimes. The picture shows print fabrics by Celia Birtwell (b.1941).

I find "candy" pins everywhere around my table since the doll house building day. They have such nice shape and colors I think, but they´re not so nice under your foot...

His and hers. Yes, I agree with you Camilla, it´s a lovely idea (from Shari).
The radio pic is my contribute, guess who´s mine. (I´ll show you a better pic of them another day, promise.)

And, we did a superman coat for Harry, the dog.
I could live in this bubble for ever.

A pic of a collaboration between me and my daughter. Just to strengthen the image of our home as an creative environment ;)
(Thanks for your nice comment Anna).

This sad sad sight met us yesterday when we was to pick up a friend of Otto.
A drowned hedgehog.

- Do you wanna play with us mum?
- Njääe, not now.
- We could build dollhouses!
- Okay, I´m with you, coming!

See some more views from our dollhouses here.

I got a present today! This long wanted book, Hokusai´s Mount Fuji. Thank you again U. & K. :)
Also I went to the library and found this book, Folksuits (I really don´t know if that is the right word for it in english). Isin´t beautiful?

I think I´ve told you before, about one of my favorite ceramic artist, Mariannne Hallberg. She´s the one who´s made this blue and white checked bowl who stands on the top of my kitchen cupboard (a should be cleaned place).

It was late, and the mosquitos was pretty nasty. I´m not going to, I told him. But he wanted anyway, one last swim before bedtime. It must have been freezing. Late summer, north of Sweden. He was shivering and his lips was blue, but he was smiling when he went to sleep. Just lovely.

ebay, flickr, etsy... all nice inspiration sources.
This cute crying one was found on ebay.

Check out Reference Library genius ref/tag and lovely posts under "ITEMS I DIDN'T WIN".

Just the right graphic design has this "russian" yoghurt KEFIR packaging.

See other nice yoghurt/milk/cream packaging made by my friend Jesper Tullback here.

What is this (the clothing on the hanger) called in english? Anyway, someone spilled on it, and it had tea spot all over it. Now they´re covered.

The swedish word for it is "linne".

This little book I did as a work sample when I was applying for HDK (School of Design and Craft) four years ago. Just found it again. In the speech bubble "HUNDRED STUFFED!"

Even if the summer is over for this time, I´m still surfing, a bit obsessed, on Hemnet, sighing and dreaming of a summerhouse. This house (found at Hemnet) sure looks like something in my dreams.

Even more adorable in real life is the travel plates of Lena Corwin. Thank you so much again Lena, I´m a lucky lucky one :)))

Had a great time today with Lena and Josh, who stopped by for a visit in Gotheburg on their way to Stockholm, and Camilla and Sandra. On the pics above you can see Camilla and Lena discussing ceramics (?) at Sintra, and Sandra learning Josh swedish (he was real good at it :)

This was the real enjoyment with the trip, "fika" with Moa and Moa, and the chat with Calle. His fabolous book "Emma, who are you?" is gonna be released as paperback at Månpocket this autumn! I LOVE Calles own typeface on the cover of the book.

So this is how some of my stuff was displayed at the Formex fair.

Sunday, September 2, 2007

Spent a lot of time in these corners, the café and the magazine place.

Dazed, and pretty tired, I´m back from Stockholm and Formex design fair. In a huge building complex with things poured out just every where, It was a bit overwhelmed to see my own stuff in the context. I was relieved to meet the two nice girls, Li and Emma, who made me feel a little more calm.

I will post related pics from the trip the next couple of days, and I´ll start with some Formex favorites:
The liebling patterns/things, such a delight.
Almedahls reintroduced fox pattern, I like I like.
My old classmate Albert Sjöstams building pattern (wallpaper), for Borås tapeter.
Spiras drop shaped pattern, Monsun.
And finally Almedahls other reintroduced pattern, Nippon (the red and white).
